1. Use of This Website
The content on this website is general information about our services in Tracy, CA. It is not veterinary medical advice and does not replace an examination. Do not delay care for a sick or injured pet because of something you read here.
2. No Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship Through the Website
Using this website, sending a form, or emailing tvmcpets@gmail.com does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship. Under California Code of Regulations, title 16, section 2032.1, that relationship requires the veterinarian to have sufficient knowledge of the animal. We do not diagnose or prescribe for a pet we have not examined.
3. Appointments
Submitting the appointment form does not guarantee or secure an appointment. We will contact you to confirm your visit. Please wait to hear back from us before heading in.
The form is not for emergencies or urgent requests.
Online booking is not available yet.
Walk-ins are welcome. A walk-in is seen as the schedule allows.
4. Emergency Care
Call the clinic. Emergencies and walk-ins are welcome while the clinic is open, including urgent surgery. Tracy Veterinary Medical Center is not a 24-hour emergency hospital. If we are closed, or if your pet needs a facility we do not provide, call an emergency veterinary facility in your area.
5. Payment
You will receive a written estimate, and you may decline services.
Fees are confirmed by phone. A coupon has the limits printed on that coupon.
Vaccine packages expire 6 months after purchase.
The feline neuter package excludes bloodwork and a catheter.
Cherry, CareCredit, and Scratchpay are third parties. Their terms are theirs.
Senior citizen and military discounts apply to patrons who qualify. The amount is confirmed at the clinic.
6. Medical Records
Records are kept for at least three years after the last visit under California Code of Regulations, title 16, section 2032.3. You may request a summary. We send records to another veterinarian at your request.
7. Prescriptions
Prescriptions require a current veterinarian-client-patient relationship.
Refills may require a recheck or current lab work.
The in-house pharmacy at tracyvetmedcenter.covetruspharmacy.com is operated with Covetrus. We are not responsible for third-party product listings.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent California law allows, Tracy Veterinary Medical Center and its owners, veterinarians, and staff are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of this website. Veterinary care cannot promise a specific medical result. We provide care consistent with professional standards, and we do not guarantee the result of a treatment, test, or procedure.
9. Consent to Treatment
By bringing a pet in, you confirm that you are the owner or an authorized agent and that you consent to the exam and to the treatment you approve. Anesthesia and surgery need a separate consent.
10. Pets Left at the Clinic
If a pet is left with us for care and is not picked up within 14 days after the agreed pickup day, California Civil Code section 1834.5 treats the animal as abandoned. The clinic must spend at least 10 days trying to place the animal with a new owner or with a shelter or rescue that has agreed to take the animal before euthanasia may be considered. Euthanasia is not required.
11. Intellectual Property
The clinic’s logo, photos, and page text belong to Tracy Veterinary Medical Center or its licensors.
12. Third-Party Links
This site links to Covetrus, Cherry, CareCredit, Scratchpay, Google, Facebook, Yelp, and Bing. We do not control those sites.
